Response to the text: Sustainable Art Fair

There are many good qualities in this blogspot, and one of them is the oral way of writing and thinking, which makes it feel like a blogspot right away. The short sentences gives an affect that makes us reflect on the matter differently. In a way it gives us room to think, and that is very important when reading a blog. Its also informative. It brings up interessting points and the title is very intreaging.

The text touched on what happens to galleris when art fair become popular, which is very much relevant to day and an exiteing topic to put up for discussion.

The subject itself brings up a lot of questions, so I think it would be a great to add on a few questions for the reader to ponder, to make the reader think a little. I also think it could be interesting hearing questions and thoughts from the writer . This would also give room for the reader to refect their point of view. Therefore I would love to go deeper into the writers thoughts and views and for example discuss the importance of having galleries as well.

This text defenently fits the criteria of a blog post, and it very much is an interesting text to read and reflect over.

I am not sure if the picture fits the criteria for an approved blog, since there is no source, but I think the picture fits the text nicely. It is subtle and does not take too much attention, which is perfect for this kind of blog.

I also think there are a lot of nice aspects that are linked to the syllabus. In the syllabus we can find a text called  ‘Art at the crossroads: the arts in society and the sociology of art”, where it is described that the markeds for the arts are complex and changing rapidly in today’s world, and that fairs such as Art Basel in Switzerland are becoming more and more important and that fairs are comprised of invited dealers. (Art at the crossroads, 3 changing markeds) This is something that is unevadable. Fairs are the arts future, but I think it is very important to reflect on how it will change the art world and how it will affect galleries, and this blogspot did very much so.
