Douchebags is a brand within the fashion industry. It was founded in 2012 by the famous Swedish skier Jon Olsson, and a Norwegian product designer named Truls Braaten. The design is unique in the way that it is designed for sports purposes such as making traveling easier, by giving the opportunity to attach the bags to one another, which makes it easier to transport through airports as an example.
When Jon and Truls met, they quickly found out that both of them agreed that it´s too difficult to travel with skiing gear, which is the foundation of the company. The design of the product is adapted to fit the needs of the buyer, the ski bags is made slim, to fit only the skis, with wheels to make it easier to transport around. This makes their design approach exactly that, Design solves problems, and it´s about meetings the needs of the people, i´d say that Douchebags have accomplished that with their custommade products for different purposes. Douchebags is very unique as it´s not many big brands who make bags for sports purposes the way Douchebags do. It´s also very widely exposed in social media, as many “influencers” are sponsored by them, which greatly increase exposure and revenue for the brand.
In conclusion i´d say that Douchebags is the biggest brand out there that provides products that satisfies the needs of the consumer, by designing products that makes it easier for the consumer to do a variety of things. From hand luggage, to ski bags.
