In economic terms, value creation means the transformation of resources into products that can directly or indirectly meet needs (Store Norske Leksikon, 2019). Apple Inc is an American multinational technology company with their headquarter in Cupertino, California. They design, develop and sell consumer electronics, computer software and online services (Wikipedia, 2018). Apple Inc was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne in 1976.
Many people see Apple Inc as an iconic and “cool” brand and is well known as one of the leading brands/companies within the digital world next to Microsoft. It is considered as one of, and if not the “Big Four tech companies” along with amazon, Google and Facebook. Some of the companies most known products include the iPhone, MacBook, iPad and the iPod.
With their 506 retail stores across 24 countries they are in great need of employment. They can offer lots of jobs for everyone all over the world.
Apple Inc focuses on business and are producing products that will help employees work more simply and productively, solve problems creatively and collaborate with a shared purpose (Apple, 2019). All the products are designed to work together in an easy and smart way. Apple is saying that “when people have the power to work the way they want, with the tools they love, they can do their best work and change the future of their business” (Apple, 2019). Their technology is modern and designed for all the ways any employee wants to work. The business today has never been more mobile than it is right now. Because of that, Apple has a goal and that is to be on top and create products that will give all employees everything they need to work, make better decisions whenever and wherever.
Environment and CSR is a huge thing in the world today, and this is something that Apple Inc values a lot. They have a new thing called “Trade it in. Help the planet out”. Their goal and wish are that all of their customers will submit some of or all of their old Apple products so they can be recycled. Even when you´re done with your device, chances are it still has more to give to the world. The trade-in and recycling program are good for us and the world. Apple Trade In is a simple way to exchange your old device for credit so that it can be reused by a new owner. That´s a win for you and the environment.
