Commenting on Magshegs «Where design and art meet»
Firstly, I’d like to credit Magshegs on the topic of choice. I believe it was wise of him/her to choose a brand that he/she has a first-hand relationship with, as the fruit basket mentioned, and the picture used which seems to be taken by the author makes an authentic story. The structure is good and Mags has a varying language, which makes the task of giving feedback an easy one.
The article goes well with the topics we`re learning about in class, as well as also linking up to the syllabus. The Alessi case is a great example of a case where art and design really DO meet (plain yet fitting title of the article). The author admits to have become a part of Alessis costumers who enjoys the house hold goods for the sake of its looks and design, which Alessi would justify by saying that it is products that “should be used, but also seen”. I liked that, and not to mention that it’s rather satisfying to read something that ends with a good conclusion.
To point out what I don’t consider flaws, but rather a suggestion of improvement – I would ask for you to make the top half of your article less conventional. Less formal and a little more casual, although I see why you’ve made the choices you’ve made, considering it’s mostly facts. All in all, work well done!
Lastly; how about filling that big, golden bowl with some fruits?
