When I open the text and see the title “Apple loses $10 Billion in value”, I find it somewhat intriguing as to why they are losing so much money. At the same time I find it a bit vague, and perhaps it might be more useful to have a heading that attracts more attention for the reader. In the first paragraph we get a good description as to what the case is about. I think that the picture used in the text is relevant for the topic, since it is a photo of the Apple logo. However, the design of Apple’s products is mentioned a lot in the text, so perhaps it would be nice for the reader to see a picture of that. Also, there needs to be a source underneath the photo to credit the photographer, and not just in a link at the bottom of the text.

The next section in the text is a bit unclear to me. It starts with “Borja de Mozota says that there are four sources on how design creates value”, where the four sources are listed up underneath. As far as I can see these are not used any further in the text, neither are they explained. It seems to me that this part is put in there just to get something from the syllabus in the text, but it just becomes excessive this way. It would be useful for the writer to work more on this part of the text, or change their theory completely. When writing about Apple and design it might be useful to mention theory with a focus on the innovation aspect, monetary value and need for profitability, customer satisfaction and making design that is user friendly, to mention some.
A lot of the last part of the text is used to give examples of how design is important to us, but I feel like that’s a given and don’t need that much space. Because of course design is important when you buy things. To me the text seems more like a summary of the original article, than like a comment.
The flow of the language is good and understandable. But some specific terms, like “measuring design-driven differentiation value”, is a difficult term and should be explained more, because most people might not recognize it. Another positive thing is that you get links at the bottom of the text, if you want further reading. The writer has used questions for the reader in the text, which I think is good, and it could be more of it. It keeps the reader attentive. The writer has used an interesting, current case about the value of design, and I would also say that there is a “rød tråd” throughout the text.
