Apple comment

Starting with the title, ‘’How much for rotten Apples’’, I think that, since the writer is extolling that apple hasn’t always been doing a good thing, the title could have been ‘’Apple, using unfair business practices” As we can see, Apple had forced consumers to make updates to their mobile phones that caused “serious malfunctions” that significantly reduced the performance of their phones.

I think it is interesting that he/she used Apple as an example of the technology and design industry who had the aim not only not only as an American company that designs and produces electronic equipment, software and online services but also to transmit a message through design, which is also very necessary today. Apple has often been the inspiration for other manufacturers. Its sleek and simple designs are impressively minimalist, while staying high-quality and highly functional. Everything from chargers to earbuds is carefully designed to look good while doing its job- the company manages to do this by limiting and perfecting the products its offers before release. Apple definitely made a change and became an icon and reference in this world. However, do you think that the team is responsible for not being competent enough? I don’t think so. From my point of view, it is a problem of the direction, since at the moment of thinking about the new model, they think about creating and producing a new model with few differences, to be able to take out new models in a short term.

I believe that its portfolio is well focused since it refers to how this company is creating a dishonest way of business. Different than its beginnings, which Steve Jobs managed to create an empire that has lasted a long time. However, this would be difficult to justify today because we are in a phase in which the IT industry is changing completely and it is increasingly difficult to justify that.

Having said that, I would like to take advantage of this reflection and invite you to think about what the IT industry is becoming. In my opinion,in the era of the digital transformation initiated by computer science and later the arrival of the internet and that continues with artificial intelligence, IT professionals have much, if not almost everything, to say in new products, services and even business models ( both from digital companies and from traditional companies that need to change and adapt). They are key pieces in leadership, not only technological but business vision, which would be the top of the triangle formed by technological skills, team management skills and business-focused vision, and the technology sector will leave unfilled positions in the future due to lack of professionals.
