Dimitra Milan is an upcoming artist from the Unites States of America. She is 19 years old, and started painting when she was 15 years old. Her incredible paintings can be found in private collections across the U.S, Europe and Asia. She was born into a family of artist; both of her parents are painters and they have an institute called Milan Art Institute in Arizona. She has been surrounded by art her entire life and she tries to cultivate her own unique style with her classical oil painting techniques to contemporary mixed media. Her talent developed through time with her extremely passion for painting.
A majority of her artwork consists of beautiful paintings of woman interacting with animals and nature. Her work is abstract realism and she basically paints these motives to creative a dreamy atmosphere and she wants to give the audience a feeling that anything is possible. Through her artwork she tries to express a lot of emotions like love, hope, authenticity and beauty.
Her artwork is beautiful and has a high price tag. She sells her artwork on the primary artwork marked, where her original artwork are sold both in the gallery and online. She shares everything on social media with her followers and has a lot of art exhibition around in the USA. This is the way she is marketing herself. But besides being a full-time painter she has now began to have art classes. She is teaching three days a week to people that are truly interested in artwork and want to become an artist themselves. So she is going to show them her best ideas and techniques. She has teaching classes and online courses for students that are not able to come. She will eventually move on to teach classes that involves mixed media, voice, style, personal aesthetic, along with marketing and branding. She really works hard to achieve her goal and dream to become a well-known artist around the world.
I think she fits a lot of the criteria that define an artist. She is defiantly hardworking, her income is based on the artistic works she dose; like painting and teaching, both of her parents are artists themselves so she was kind off born to do this. She is an upcoming artist but at a very short time she has accomplished a lot. I would like to say that her artwork is categorized in the alternative art market. She is well known at the national level, she has a lot of partnerships with galleries across the Unites States and of course she has private collections across the Europe and Asia too, but she is a very new artist so I would not categorized her in the Avant-garde art market. So her buyers I would like to say could be categorized as investors, because she is up and coming and it is beautiful paintings that people actually can relate to, and maybe some day her art will go up in price.
