Commenting on ritnas post, “Who cares about art?”
In this task I am going to make a comment on ritnas blogpost “Who even cares about art?”. The blogpost was published September 8, 2019 by ritnas. The blogpost starts off with a statement: “Who even cares about art”, which is something some of us maybe has been thinking about in this process while writing these assignments and trying to learn all the differences between the markets. I think it´s a funny and relatable heading.
Ritnas has managed to describe the syllabus in light of the industrial networks approach to mapping art. The student has mentioned syllabus like what the difference between the art markets are and has mentioned clearly that the art-market is divided in four separate markets. There are precise descriptions of what the various markets are all about.
You have chosen to use a picture in the task which makes the reader more interested, but it comes with some strict rules. A criterion for the task is to include pictures in your task and to use them in a way that is approved and correct to BI´s rules for copyrighted images. Next time I would recommend you read the guidelines for copyright on images.
It´s easy to read the student´s blogpost. It´s written in a way that makes it easier to read and that it is understandable. It´s clear that the student has good vocabulary.
I would really like to see an example of how modern media can provide us with the ability to share and sell different pieces of artwork. In which way are they doing it and are there any artworks that has become more popular because of modern media.
In the end I really think this is a good and precise assignment and it shows that you have used the syllabus in a good way.
