Commentary on blog post
On this commentary, i will be assessing the assignment delivered by “marie119”. This blog post was published September 10th, and it is the second assignment about design.
The assignment is about a furniture design company and how it responds to deforestation and waste. It´s nice how you promote key information about the company, and also how they produce the different furniture in detail, it gives the reader a good understanding of what the text is about and what your message is. The text is very nicely done, and looks good with all the sub titles.
Even though you´ve gathered a lot of useful information about the products and what material he use, I would really like to see more syllabus being used in the assignment, there are a lot of useful information in the PowerPoints for example. You could try and put the company and its products in the industrial networks approach to mapping arts, where it belongs, if its exclusive, if its not, maybe talk more about who buys the products, and why maybe?
One requirement for the task is to include pictures, and to use them properly according to BI´s rules for copyrighted images. I see that you´ve included sources, but under the picture source, you´ve only written “With permission” which don’t give any information at all, and I can´t really trust if it’s used in accordance with the rules.
All in all it´s a good task, with a lot of great information about the company, I would just have liked to see more syllabus being used, and remember to either find images that´s legal to use, or be more specific when writing the source.
